Domination in America, Starting from being a Boxing Champion

Chapter 921 - 647: New Year Greetings and Competition_4

Bang bang bang!

Trinidad kept attacking, yelling as he fought, looking like a gorilla.

Link blocked the opponent's combination punches, then suddenly stepped back twice, leaning his back against the ropes, disrupting his opponent's attack rhythm.

When the opponent rushed forward to press the attack, Link employed Ali's Butterfly Steps, swiftly stepping in to close the distance between them.

Taking advantage of the opponent's unpreparedness, he delivered a precise Liver Blow Punch, solidly striking Trinidad's right ribs.

Trinidad stumbled back a step, anger flashing across his face. However, his endurance was impressive, and this punch didn't cause significant damage.

Having landed his first strike, Link followed up with a jab aimed directly at his opponent's face.

Thanks to Link's incredible speed, Trinidad was caught off guard, leaning his head back and stepping half a pace back.

Link pursued relentlessly, raining punches down against Trinidad's arm defenses. One Heavy Punch followed another—each faster than the last—forcing his opponent to retreat without any chance to counterattack.

As an offensively skilled boxer, Trinidad had defeated over forty fighters in past matches with his exceptional punching power and sharp offensive techniques.

But his defensive skills were average.

Link struck Trinidad over ten times in quick succession, aiming high. Fixed on protecting his head, Trinidad struggled to defend his lower body.

On the thirteenth punch, Link shifted his attack downward, slamming a Straight Punch hard into Trinidad's left ribs.

Trinidad grunted in pain and angrily snarled, his face twisting in fury as he bared his teeth and let out a roar.

Not waiting for Link to continue his assault, Trinidad threw a counterpunch.

Link sidestepped swiftly, using agile footwork to move to his opponent's left side. Taking advantage of Trinidad's unsteady footing, he unleashed another Liver Blow Punch, striking his left ribs again.

Letting out a cry of pain, Trinidad collapsed to a knee, clutching his left side with his left arm.

"Stop!"

The referee halted the match to check if Trinidad could continue.

Trinidad, his face dark with determination, insisted on continuing.

The first round had lasted 135 seconds; only 45 seconds remained until the bell.

Trinidad stood up, gripping both sides of his ribs, fists raised to guard his face, ready to use this defensive posture to block Link's punches.

Seeing the round nearing its end, Link ignored Trinidad's defensive stance and unleashed a barrage of blows, raining them down like a storm.

Unlike Trinidad's attacks, Link's were faster, each strike purposeful and precise.

At the 147th second, Link used his left fist to disrupt Trinidad's judgment, immediately following up with a powerful Right Swing Punch. It smashed into Trinidad's arm before the punch landed harshly on his head.

Staggered by the blow, Trinidad's defense opened up visibly.

Seizing the opportunity, Link delivered a punch to Trinidad's left ribs. When his opponent shifted his guard downward, Link followed up with a Straight Punch to the forehead. This strike landed solidly, its force exceeding 700 pounds.

Bam!

This time, Trinidad couldn't hold out. He fell flat on his back on the boxing ring, clutching his ribs with his arms and crying out in pain, gritting his teeth.

"Stop!"

The referee again stopped the match, kneeling to check Trinidad's condition.

At this point, the match had reached 165 seconds, with only 15 seconds left in the first round.

From the stands, many audience members shouted at Trinidad to hold on and stand up to keep fighting.

But Trinidad couldn't. This time, it wasn't just his liver hurting—his head was ringing as well.

The referee began the ten-count, but Trinidad didn't get back on his feet.

Raising Link's arm, the referee declared him the winner.

Applause and cheers erupted from the crowd, but so did numerous racially discriminatory jeers.

Link paid no attention. Raising both fists high in triumph, he challenged everyone before him with his victory stance.

With this win, only one opponent stood between Link and his shot at Hopkins. He was one step closer to claiming the Middleweight crown.
